If something falls apart it separates into pieces because it is old or in bad condition.
Example of use:
This chair is starting to fall apart so don’t sit on it.
infinitive – fall apart
present simple – fall apart and falls apart
-ing form – falling apart
past simple – fell apart
past participle – fallen apart
