Book up – English Phrasal Verb – Online English Lessons

When a person, place or event is booked up they have no spare time or space.

Always passive.

Examples of use:

1. Our favourite hotel is booked up; we’ll have to stay somewhere else.

2. Mrs Ingles is booked up for February, but I can make you an appointment for March.

3. My doctor is always booked up when I try to see him.
